Patricia Ann Valone ("Patti") Licata
Loving Mother, Grandmother, & Great-Grandmother" Patricia ("Patti") Ann Valone Licata, age 81, a lifetime resident of North East, Pa., passed from this life into her eternal home on Sunday, November 13, 2011. She was born on May 5, 1930 in North East, Pa., daughter of the late Salvatore ("Sam") Valone & Josephine Jenco Valone. Patti graduated North East High School and was a life-long member of St. Gregory's Parish in North East. She was a devout Catholic and formerly sang in the church choir and was a sodality member. Patti loved being a homemaker & caring for her family. She also babysat for many other children over the years. She formerly worked at the YMCA Daycare Center. Patti had a prayerful and compassionate heart for the suffering and grieving. She blessed many lives with her culinary skills, especially her homemade spaghetti sauce, meatballs, and delicious soup. She enjoyed writing poems for people on their birthdays and special occasions. Patti is survived by brothers, Charles (Alice) Valone and Robert (Sally) Valone, both of North East; children, Frank Licata of Erie, Gary (Donna) Licata of North East, and David Licata of North East; daughters-in-law, Connie Licata and Kari Licata, both of Erie; grandchildren, Jennifer, Michael, Daniel, Angela, Aaron, Anthony, David, Joshua, & Sarah; six great-grandchildren; many beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Friends may call at the William D. Elkin Funeral Home, 65 South Lake Street, North East on Tuesday 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and are invited to attend a prayer service on Thursday at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Gregory Catholic Church in North East. Interment St. Gregory Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Gregory Catholic Church, 136 West Main Street or Community Nursing Services of North East, Hospice, 7 Park Street, North East, PA 16428.
