My gg grandmother Ann Liggins was christened in 1837 in Brinklow the daughter of Henry Liggins. She married William Payne in 1862 in Rugby and died ín 1915. Her father Henry Liggins was christened in 1805 in Rugby. On the christening it just gives his mother's name, Elizabeth. Now there are a few options. Firstly, the father was unknown, or had done a runner, and Elizabeth was a single mother - in which case she's maybe the daughter of John Liggins and Ann Bromwich, christened in 1779 in Shawell. Secondly the father just happened not to be at the christening - in which case I'm thinking the father was Thomas Liggins and mother Elizabeth Russell who married in 1801 in Brinklow - where Henry ended up. Any views thoughts as to any of this or as to where Thomas Liggins may have come from would be appreciated
Thanks in advance
