Researching ancestors and descendants of Adam Ligman, b. 1821 (possibly in Pila, Bromberg, Prussia) who m. Tillie Grogel Tillman. They first settled in Chicago, IL in 1871 with their children Adam Jr. and Anna. A son, Clemens, was born there in 1874. In 1880, they removed to Swan River Twp., Morrison Co., MN near Little Falls.
Adam had a nephew, Peter Ligman (1824-1904) who emigrated to Chicago in 1884.
