I am looking for information on John Liles/Lyles born 1781 in Anson Co., NC. I believe his father was John Liles also. John (1781) lived in SC ( the Chester County area)from an early age. He married Dorcas Land and they eventually moved to Henderson Co., KY circa 1818. I am looking for the Will of his father John Liles Sr. and even his grandfather possibily related to Ephraim Lyles. John Lyles, SR. was supposedly married to Celia Fields but I am looking for proof in the form of a Will, marriage or birth record to sort out all of the Johns, Williams and Ephraims. There is a John Lyles listed as an Indian Agent in SC in 1750 and I am wanting to determine if any of my John Lyles are descended from him. It is possible that he was the father or grandfather of my John Liles (1781).
