I want to tell you about a Lillis family that lived down the street from me when I was about 4 or 5 years old (about 1960).

I was walking down Bay Ave. (formerly Lloyd St.), Moss Point, Jackson County, Ms. A school bus was in front of the Lillis home (their son drove it for the school system).

A older boy who lived down the street dragged me onto the bus and was starting to rape me. I do not remember what happened after that, and still don't.

The Lillis family came out of their home and fought the boy off me. I was so young I never got to thank them.

So if they ever read this, I just want to thank that very brave family for all they did for me that day.
