Limerick families - how related?

Classification: Query
Surnames: Limerick, Hamilton, Thomas
My Limerick line traces back to Thomas Limerick (1797-1848) who immigrated to the US from Derry before 1820, was elected mayor of Tuscumbia, Alabama in 1820 and was a commission merchant in New Orleans in the 1840s. In uncovering items that family members had saved I have found other branches of the Limerick family that I cannot link to mine in the USA. The link must be in Ireland. These are the families I am trying to link.

(Mine)
Thomas Limerick (1797-1848) son of George Limerick and Mary Hamilton
His siblings:
Oliver Limerick (1798-1867) & wife Ann, immigrated in 1830, died in Saline County, Illinois
William Limerick (born 15 Sep 1812), immigrated in 1830
George Limerick (1815-1846), immigrated in 1830, part owner of a steamboat, died in New Orleans
Jane Limerick - named in brother George's will (in Ireland in 1846)
Victoria Limerick - named in brother George's will (in Ireland in 1846)

Thomas K. Limerick family
My great-aunt in Vicksburg, Mississippi, had a photo of J. A. Limerick of Baltimore and a memorial booklet of Frederick Buck Limerick, a minister who died in Ridley Park, Pennsylvania, in 1918. I have traced these men to Thomas K. Limerick, born in Ireland, and his wife Maria H., born in Pennsylvania, who lived in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in 1870 and 1880. Thomas K. Limerick 's age was listed as 40 in 1870 and 53 in 1880.

William Limerick family
My great-grandmother, who lived in Rodney, Mississippi, had in her Bible an obituary of Mrs. Rebecca A. Limerick , wife of William Limerick, of Lexington, Missouri. Rebecca , the daughter of Benedict and Nancy Thomas, was born in Georgetown, Kentucky, on 6 Nov. 1824, married William Limerick on 6 Oct. 1842, and died 27 April 1878. William was a banker. Census records say that he was born in New York. 1870 census says his parents were foreign born, but 1880 says his father was born in Maryland and his mother in Ireland. His tombstones gives his dates as 22 Dec 1811 - 6 Sep 1882.

Unless these families were related, I do not know why my relatives would have had these items. Can anybody help fit this puzzle together?
