Seeking any information on Edward Lincoln born in Illinois between 1871-72, I have found him on the 1920 Census living in Calhoun County Battle Creek City Enumeration District 43 Michigan with his second wife Nora unknown children; Gertrude, f, daughter, 9 yrs., b. MI; Gyrald, m, son, 4 yrs 6 months, b. MI; Archie, m, son, 3 yrs. 3 months, b. MI; Daines, Edward, m, son-in-law, looks like 24 yrs., b. MI; Daines, Winnie, f. daughter, 20 yrs., b. MI; Daines, Eleanor f. granddaughter, 11 months, b. MI. I know that Winnie is from Edward's first marraige, Edwards frist wife died shortly after giving birth to a son in 1907, but I am not sure if she died in Illnios or in Michigan, nor do I know what her name is. Also find Edward on the 1930 census in Kankakee County Momence Township District 9, IL with wife Nora and children; Gertrude, Gerald, Archie, and Marvin. When Edward's first wife died he adopted out the five children he'd had with her. Their names are Delphia b. 1896 in IL; Winnie L. b. 1898 in MI (this one listed on the 1920 census living in Edward's household w/husband and child); Robert Chalkey b. Jan. 1900 in IL; Ophia b. 1904 in ?; and Charles b. 1907 in ? d. 1915 in ?. Edward and Nora had another child in 1912, but she isn't listed on the 1920 or 1930 census, Isetta is her name. Thank you for any information on this family. Robert Chalkey Lincoln was adopted by Aaron Wilbert and Ada Nichols in Michigan, he took the name Nichols and changed his name to Robert C. L. Nichols.
