LINDBERG Carl Gustaf, born Malmo Sweden 1854

I'm travelling to Sweden in October 2007 and would like to find evidence of my ancestors there. I have my great grandfather born in Malmo on 30 July 1854. His parents are Andus (or Anders) LINDBERG and Hannah LINDBERG (nee WERLIN - I think). Carl Gustaf married Eliza Harriet NEWELL in 1885 in Melbourne, Australia and died in Melbourne. I have tried all over the place to find out which ship he arrived on, but I believe he jumped ship in Melbourne so he is difficult to trace in that respect. Is there anyone out there who can help me get any further back in Sweden? I would dearly love to place him there and his parents. I'll be eternally grateful to you.
Regards,
Lyn Duclos

Looking for information about my great and great-great grandparents;
My great-great-gtrandfather's name is John Lindberg - however, his daughter's church record lists him as Aron Lindberg (very confusing - I am not sure why the Aron).

He was amrried to Sarah Johnson (I am unsure of she is his second or first wife).

They had 2 daughters (twins) born in Frendefors Parish, Elfsberg County, Dalsland, Sweden, on March 9, 1883.

one of the daughters is my great grnadmother Jospehine Linberg. She married Charles West. They both moved later to Arlington, Virginia. She did there in July of 1973.

I do not know her sister's name.

the church record I found states that she was a member of the NEBO Lutheran Church in Peale, Pennsylvania. The church was alter located in Grassflat, PA.

Josphine Lindberg and Charles West had 3 children named Cecile, Arlene, and Josephine.

Any information about the above Lindberg family (that I can't seem to find in any PA census even though they should be there in 1900) would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Lindberg family in MA

Yes I'm currently looking for ANY information or anyone who can relate to Edmond Lindberg born Jan. 21, 1886 in Worcester, MA. His parents were Frederick I. Lindberg (born in Sweden, resided in Oxford, MA) and Lydia M. Parker (born in Douglas, MA). On May 25, 1917, Edmond changed his last name to Brown when he was in CT (possibly Stratford). Edmond married Frances Johnson, born June 30, 1906, (whose parents were Emil Fracis Johnson and Anna Nelson Johnson). Frances grew up in Stratford where her parents owned a farm on Nicholas Lane. Edmond Lingberg died Dec. 1, 1981. Can anyone give me any more information?

My G-Grandparents Frank Carlson and Anna Augusta Lindberg Carlson pioneered in Reed City Michigan in early 1870's. They came from Sweden at about that same time. I would like to find out more about their parents and area of Sweden they came from. When I was young My Aunt told me stories about them. She said that my g-grandmother's mother was one Sweden's first woman doctors, so maybe someone still in Sweden has done research on this. Any info on this would be greatly appreciated.

Fritz Leander Lindberg was born 6 January 1900 in Södra Vram, Höganäs, Malmöhus, Skåne, Sweden. That much I verified. His father, August, married Johanna Nilsdotter. Carl is the earliest Lindberg, born 1836. Family stories had it that he chose Lindberg as a soldier-name. Are there lists of both the original and chosen names?

I am looking for information on Peter Lindberg who lived in Havana, Illinois during the late 1800's. The information I have says that he emigrated from Sweden in 1869 at age 38 and was born in 1831. He took on the last name of Lindberg after arriving in the USA for reasons unknown to us. In Sweden his name was Per Esbjörnsson. A brother Bengt Lindberg lived in Swan Creek, Illinois until 1883-1885 then settled in Phelps County Nebraska. I do not know if Peter ever married or had any children. He really has me stumped! Keeping my fingers crossed that someone will recognize the names, Kathy

Searching for Delbert Lindberg, born 1902-04, son of Emma Iverson Lindberg, who lived in Pine River Minnesota. Delbert married, moved to Minneapolis and ran a radio repair business. He divorced and moved back to Pine River and eventually to Fergus Falls where he died in the 1950s. When his mother died in 1955, she was survived by 4 grandchildren. Delbert's only brother Ray had only 3 children, so that means Delbert must have had one child. I am working on a family history of the Iverson family and would like to get in contact with descendants of Emma. I have traced the family back to 1611 in Norway and would be happy to share what I have collected so far.

Lindberg and Peters (Pedersen)

I am looking for information on my Lindberg surname from Norway ----Anna Sophia Lindberg DOB May 1881, Oslo, Norway. Anna Sophia migrated to the USA about Oct 1907 into New York. About 1915 married Charles Hill. Anna Sophia Lindberg mother was listed as Elizabeth Flood. Her father was listed in the ships manifest as Mr. F. Pedersen. I have other information where his name was John Peter Lindberg. I believe the parents of John Peter were Andre Peter and Anna Sophia. I believe the parents of Elizabeth Flood were Hanns Flood and Martha?? Anna Sophia had one sister Wilhelmine Lindberg, DOB May 21, 1865. She married to Halvor Halvorsen, born in Solvor Norway 1868

I am looking for any information on this Lindberg line --thanks bill

Lindberg/Andersen

I am looking for any information on my grandfather Edward Henry Lindberg, who was the son of John E. Lindberg and Emily Anderson. He did have a brother named Arthur. I have been told he was born in New York in 1899. I know nothing of his background except that his father was from Sweden and his mother was from Norway. Any information will be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Laura Little
