I am trying to find out some information about my Great Great Grandfather, David Lindely. He was born in the Guisborough area and then lived in an Orphanage in the Guisborough or Knaresbrough area until he was approximately 18-20 years old when he moved to County Durham to Marry my Great Great Grandmother Elizabeth Coulson, they then went on to have 11 Children! Two of the Children are still alive one of which is my Grandmother Ethel Mellor nee Lindley and my Great Aunt Alice Mellor nee Lindley - would like to hear from anyone that this may sound famililar to. I would love to find some record of the Orphanage David Lindley was from and maybe his parents and the reason he was in the Orphanage... no idea where to start?!
