I am looking for info re my great-grandfather, John Frederick Lindner, b. Stuttgart, Germany in 1951. He and his mother, Friedericka (Rachel?) Lindner (maiden name possibly Gerlach)immigrated to USA via Quebec and Detroit sometime before 1860. Friedericka was from Wuttemberg, b. 1813, widowed, and was an indentured cook for the George Rhodius family and hotel in Indianapolis, IN until her death in 1875. Fred Lindner then moved west to Malta and Leadville, CO; later to White Oaks & Kingston, NM; finally to Douglas, AZ, where he died in 1931. No other info about these Lindner ancestors has been found and I am unsure how to find info in Germany.

Any info or suggestions will be very much appreciated.
