In my family tree I have Anton Lindquist who came from Sweden to Wheaton, U.S.A. in 1905 where he farmed until moving to Canada in 1909. He homesteaded near Assiniboia, Sask., married Lily Clifft, had one child John Robert.
Other Lindquists who homesteaded in Sask. (most coming up from the U.S.) were Ole L., Olaf, Knut, John Barnett, Sven Eric, Richard E., Peter, Oscar, John, Hjalmar.
