Isaac Lindsey
I am trying to find information about Isaac Lindsey and beyond. Our family history knowledge ends with Isaac Lindsey.
I have found several Isaac Lindseys on this forum. Mine
was born 1785 and died in April 1833 in Louisiana. Birth place is unknown, which is one of the things we would like to know.
He was married to Mary Tate in 1816.
The children of Isaac Lindsey were: William D., Lucinda, Isaac, & Malinda
Their is possibly a fifth child, Mathilda, or it is a misinterpretation of another source for Malinda.
He also had a second spouse, a widow woman 'Newman'.
He owned property in 1810, and served in the War of 1812.
Mary Tate was the daughter of John Tate & Nancy. I have information on this line of Tates to the 1500's, but nothing Lindsey beyond Isaac of 1785.
The Lindsey surname and history is valuable to us who have extensive histories of all those surnames that intersected with our Lindsey line, but limited within the Lindsey name. Anything that you have related to this Isaac Lindsey and his ancestors or descendants is appreciated.
