I too am interested in the Book mentioned above. Please give complete name of book so I can see if we have it at the LDS Family History Library here in Salt Lake City, UT. I descend from George E. Lingenfelter who had illegitimate son, Irvin Mock by Sarah Mock d/o George and Mary Ellen Helsel Mock. Mary Ellen is d/o Conrad Helsel and Hettie Imler. George E. Lingenfelter is s/o Thomas Lingenfelter and a Mock woman whose name escapes me at the moment. Sarah Mock and George E. Lingenfelter were first cousins and forbidden to marry by virtue of their familial relationship.

Lingenfelter Archives (Married)

While researching my Beck family I happened upon a listing of a couple of family members listed in the Lingenfelter Archives (Married). Would someone please tell me exactly what this archive is, I'm not familiar with it. Is this archive a list of people that lived in and around Tehama County, CA or is this a list of members of the Lingenfelter family.

If this archive is a list of family members, would anyone happen know how Robert Osborn Beck from England is related to the Lingenfelter family. I have never come across the name in any of my Beck research. Thank You

Kathy Irwin
kathy1619@yahoo.com

My Lingenfelter lineage has only Lingenfelder and Lingenfelter last names back to Anstatt Lingenfelder in 1520, so you need a different source.

Incientally, Hunterdon County on Google shows only New Jersey as a State. Huntingdon County, PA, is adjacent to Bedford County, so you may want to look in Huntingdon County, PA.

Sorry I couldn't help more.

I am daughter of Charlotte Lingenfelter Lighthall and I think you are looking for a Beulah Lingenfelter. Charlotte's fathers name was Ernest Bruce Lingenfelter not Bruce E Lingenfelter and I have seen information on line on a Bruce E Lingenfelter. Maybe that is where you will find more information concerning another Beulah Lingenfelter because we have checked and it doesn't seen feasable that Charlotte's sister Beulah is the person you are looking for. Hope this helps you out.

Lingenfelter's of Harrison Co., IN

I am looking for ANY Lingenfelter's of Harrison Co., IN. My grandmother, Geneva Beatrice Lingenfelter was the daughter of Donald Lingenfelter (1903-1970) and Edith Elsie Miller (1906-1992). Donald was the son of Edward Lingenfelter and Lucretia Hottel.

Edward Lingenfelter was born on Aug. 5, 1867. He married Lucretia Hottel on Sept. 25, 1897 in Central, Harrison Co., IN. I know that they had a daughter, Emma born Dec. 27, 1898, and died June 1974. She married Robert Hardsaw on Jan. 4, 1918.

I don't know Edward's parents. However, I do know there was a Daniel Lingenfelter born in 1782 and died 1843 in Corydon, which is the town in which I live. Daniel married Sarah Dedman on June 22, 1813.

Any information on the Lingenfelter's of Harrison County would be greatly appreciated.

My email address is: leecorydon@juno.com

I presume you're talking about Johannes b: 1750. I have all the children's names but no further info about them. Also, do you have Johannes' father's name? I am a descendant of this man. Would appreciate your reply.

They were in a rut back then when it came to picking names for their children. I have figured out our line in the Lingenfelter family.
Valentine b. 1469 Rhodt, Germany m. Margaretha Falk
Anstatt b. 1520 Rhodt m Barbara
Johann Daniel 1610 m. Utilla
Hans Jakob 1651 m. Anna Barbara
Johannes 1686 m. Anna Catherine Kranberger
Johannes 1718 m. Magdalene Clatner
Michael 1754 m. Catherine Ergesinger
Michael 1787 m. Eva Kasselmann
William 1809 m. Lavina Simmons
Jeremiah 1842 m. Mary Fenstermacher
Etta 1870 m. Frances Hinkley
Neil 1900 m. Mathilda Reed
Jessie (me) m. Clifford Babcock
Thanks for your concern. P.S. My sister has info of the L. family dating back to 1100.
Oh that would be wonderful!! We're always looking for verification of what we have. Know that the entries for Wilhelm and William are wrong (at least one of them). They list Wilhelm (son of Johannes) as having 9 children and then they list William (son of Michael) as having the same 9 children. So, we need to verify as much as we can. I can't thank you enough for your response. Will be looking forward to checking my listings.

Both myself and my sister have quite a listing of the Lingenfelter family. I go back to 1469 with Valentine. You mentioned the 1800s. We come down from Michael 1754 which includes that time frame. What branch of the family are you interested in?

Don't think Pancratius is the one. He has a John and a Michael and some others but the dates don't fit. Just received a note from a gal listing Johannes b. 1686 (I had him listed but no other info) having two children, Johannes and Abraham. Will see if that might be the link I'm looking for. The dates are about right. Will let you know what I find.
Thanks.
