I am descended from Paulus Lingel who immigrated through Philadelphia in 1737 and settled in Berks County, Pa. I am not sure if he is connected to the Lingels of Schlierbach in Hesse Nassau, or to the Lingle / Lengle / Lengyels or not. Anyway, I have taken the Y chromosome DNA test and started a Lengel (my last name) DNA group on Ancestry.
