Edward LINKS of Henderson/Warren County Illinois

I am trying to determine the date and place of Death for Edward Links, born 1867 to John LINKS and Sarah HOBBS. He married Florence STINE 1894 in Henderson/McDonough county Illinois. He is buried in Terre Haute, Henderson Co., Illinois, but no death date on tombstone. He was living in Monmouth, Warren Co., IL in 1947 according to son Hollis' obituary. Could not find a death cert. in either Henderson or Warren counties. Can anyone help me?

Charley Wesley Links has been such a mystery, on three different censuses he lists his birthplace in three different states. Couldn't find him anywhere in 1880 even though in 1881 he married in Gainesville. I think the wife's name I have is Mattie Francis Neisler though so maybe it's not the same person, but it's worth checking out!

Holy goodness. This is my family you are asking about!!! Charlie Links, I believe, is the brother of my great grandfather, Jesse R. Links (born in Gainesville- technically Roston, TX, is where the Links' lived for a long while and that's outside Gainesville). My great uncles name was Charlie W. (C.W.) Links (wife is Virginia) and my grandfather's name is Jessie L. Links (wife is Bobbie). I am Jessica L. I can tell you more! :) Too funny.

Hi, thanks for the reply. I don't know of any of my ancestors that might have went to Australia, I think they came from Tn. to Tx, but I'm not sure where they were before then. My great grandfather was Charlie W. Links, b. in Tn. abt. 1858-186, came to Tx and settled in Cooke Co. where he and his wife both died. Do the names sound familiar at all. I found this post interesting about the Links surname. My father was William Eugene Links and was from Illinois. I remember a cousin, Cathy/Kathy Bright who we visited there. Kathy was about my age, born around 1950 I would guess. I wonder if I am related to your family. This is my first look at my family tree.

I'm having trouble finding information on Louise Emilie Links & her father, Jacob Links. I know only Jacob's name & his daughter Louise was born July 25, 1895. She married James Ernest Caruso of New Orleans, so I'm guess that's where she was from. Any information at all, even a guess about a possible connection, would be greatly appreciated.

I am researching my husband's family. His grandfather, Johann Lingsch, who changed his name to John Links, also came from Bavaria in the late 1800s. I would be interested in the family you met in the US. John had 11 children, and we are attempting a family reunion, the first ever, and have lost contact with many of the cousins. Also, any information on researching overseas would be appreciated. I am just starting out!

I'm looking from Australia where the Links family came from Bavaria in the mid 19th C. I know we have family in US and met some relatves in St Louis about 8 years ago. My dad's grandfather was John Jacob Links and Dad's father was William and one of 13 brothers and sisters. I think one of John's brothers Michael went to US or Canada when he came to Australia. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
