MUSCATINE, Iowa -- William K. Linn, 81, of Muscatine, died Monday, Sept. 11, 2000, at Unity Hospital.
Services will be at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Funeral Home. The Rev. Sharon Phillips of the Jesus Mission Church will officiate. Burial will be at the Greenwood Cemetery.
Mr. Linn was born June 22, 1919, in Tipton, the son of John and Ivy Koblentz Linn. He married Lucille Mae Franklin on Dec. 10, 1938.
He grew up in Tipton and graduated from Tipton High School in 1933.
He and his wife moved to Muscatine in 1939.
He served in the Army from 1944 to 1946.
He retired from Muscatine Pearl Works as plant engineer after many years of service.
Survivors include a daughter, Jan Metzger and her husband, Kenneth, of Muscatine; a son, Ronald Linn of Huntsville, Ala.; four grandchildren, Kevin, Brad, David Linn and Kelly Collins; eight great-grandchildren; a brother, Robert Linn of Tipton.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; two sisters, Lucille Ford and Alice Volkl; and a brother, Clarence Linn
