've sent this to the Pearce message board but also copying here because I'm not sure how the name was originally spelled [Pearce, Pierce, Peerce, etc]:

I'm still looking for the ancestors of the Mary Lyons who married Phillip Pearce. Evidentially the Pearce family started out in Scotch Plains, New Jersey, then moved to Hampshire Co., VA , but by 1771 was in Springhill Twp., Fayette Co., PA

I'm not sure where or when Mary married Phillip

I'd like to find any information on the earlier Pearces and Lyonses.
