My family was Eschuk from Gronlid, I think it may be the same family. we stem from Lucas Eschuk born in Poland Feb 12, 1876.

If you can contact me perhaps this is in fact the same family. I would love share any and all info as there were about 12-14 children from Lucas and his two wives.

You mention your family is from northern Sask, My family is from Gronlid Sask just NE of Melfort. THe family stems from Lucas Eschuk (Lukash Ischuk) born in Poland in Feb 12, 1876.

Perhaps can you contact me to see if this is the same family as the Eschuk name is not common in Canada.

My great grandfather was Andrew Litwin he lived in New Jersy and CT. My great grandfather Andrew Litwinas was born in Lithuania and died in New Jersey in the year 1914. He was married to Maria Vaclis Litwinas. The first child born was Julia Litwinas born in the republic of Lithuania and died April 18,1985. They also had a son My grandfather John J. Litwinas who was born August 25, 1889 in Sawalski Russia.

Between August 25, 1889 and the time they arrived in America, my great grandfather Andrew Litwinas fled with his family from Russia to Rotterdam Holland to avoid persecution from the Monarchy. During the time that they fled his wife was killed. He managed to get the children and him self to safety in Rotterdam Holland. Once in Rotterdam they Boarded the ship Rotterdam and departed to America. They arrived in the port of New York on September 1, 1899. My grandfather John J. Litwinas became a United States citizen on June 8, 1927 and changed his name to John J. Litwin

I have a copy of Your Great GrandMother Emily Litwin's birth record. The copy is poor, and in Russian, but it says that she was born on Sept. 29, 1886, christened Oct. 2, 1886, in Byalkowo in Plotsk. The site sggee.org has a map of the area. The name is also Plock which is west of Warsaw on the Vistula. There are a couple of people doing research on the Litwins that I know of. I also have copies of Adam Litwin's bible entries in Deutsch, and his marriage civil registration, in Russian, and bunch of other stuff too. My e-mail has changed, so I didn't see your post until just now.

I've just found this web site and am so interested to see so many other names similar to mine. Im the only Littwin in my phone book, in Perthshire Scotland. My Grandpa came over to Scotland in WW2 from Poland. Are there any other Litttwins in Scotland?

What is interesting from my Litwin family is that some actually added ski to the end of Litwin (Litwinski) because Litwin wasn't Polish enough.

My Grandfather, Peter, came from Wylewa, Jaroslaw Poland in the early 1900s.

Litwins & Macugas in Bridgeport CT/NYC

I am seeking information on my great-grandmother's family, whose last name was Macuga. Her sister, Mary, married a man named Litwin, and they lived in Bridgeport, Connecticut, with their children. I think his name may have been Nicholas Litwin, but I'm not positive.
My great-grandmother, Anna Macuga, married Andrei Hawrysko in their native village (Koniaczow, in today's Poland), before they immigrated to Brooklyn, NY.

My grandmothers maiden name was Lewanzick. I knew of a Litwin connection. Marys brothers name was August born in poland and came to WhiteStar 1900's Married Appolina Uhlenberg And had 4 children John Paul Leo Frank. My father was Alexander Litwin who lived in Morristown NJ. He was born in Avoca PA in 1917, son of Stephen Litwin from Russia and Nellie Krupinski of Poland. I'm trying to track down his family - he had brothers Chester, Henry, Steve and Tommy and a sister Mulvina I believe - I haven't had much contact with his side of the family. I have a brother and sister and we live in Virginia. If you know any of the names above please let me know.

My father was Alexander Litwin born in Avoca, PA in 1917 - his parents were Stephen Litwin and Nellie Krupinski - they are both inscribed on the Wall of Honor on Ellis Island. It says Stephen Litwin was from Russia and Nellie Krupinski was from Poland. My father and a lot of his family were living up around Morristown, New Jersey when he died in 1972. I'd be interested in hearing from anyone who may be a relative! I live in Virginia with a sister Alice and brother Steve.

Hi my grandad's name was Bruno Littwin he moved to Scotland from Poland during the war apparently the extra t in Littwin was added around that time. I know nothing about my relations in Poland but if anyone knows of a Bruno who moved to Crieff Scotland Married Helen Forbes and was a Shoe maker I would be interested to talk to you.

Ok folks,there is a change in info.I was put up for adoption,but at about 2 months of age,not 6 months.Also my bmom was 15 at the time and may have had a twin sister.I have my non-id info from the agency and there was no divorce going down as I was originally told when I was a teenager.Please I now know I have 7 brothers who need to meet their oldest sibling and she is ill and needing to let them know she's here and needing their help.Please if you can help me find them,contact me at my email addy privately.

My great-grandparents on my father's side are Samuel and Clara Litwack, who did come from Russia to Canada and the US. I believe they had a few children including three brothers and possibly a sister.

Two of the three brothers changed their last name from Litwack to Litwin given the english pronunciation, and those were Isadore (my grandfather) and apparently your relative Benjamin. I have a small amount of information about a Norma Litwack in Montreal whom I believe to be a niece of my grandfather, not a sister.

My grandfather (deceased 1982) was born in Detroit but grew up in Minnesota where he married my grandmother Fern Diamond. They had three children: Steven Litwin, Phillip Litwin and James Litwin. Steven married Sheila (??) and has one son Marc Litwin.

My father, Phillip (deceased 1997), married Carol Nelson and had two sons: my older brother Michael and myself, David.

Michael lives in Japan and is married to Noriko Takahashi, and they have a son Kazuya Litwin.

I live in the San Francisco Bay Area and am married to Beth Gatchalian. We are expecting the latest Litwin in September 2003 :)

This should fill out one branch of the Litwack->Litwin tree, I would be interested in the tree that connects to you.

I’m looking for the relatives of Piotr Lucyszyn, which was born likely in 1858 in Sambir town, Lviv wojewodstwo (region). His wife’s name was Apolonia Woznjak (maiden name), born in 1859 in Drogobych, Lviv wojewodstwo.
They had the following children:
• Marcela Zborowska 1886-1972, my grand grandmother;
• Apolonia Litwin. Resided in the USA. Her husband Joseph. One son was in Pearl Harbor and had a daughter. The second son Henry died young of tuberculosis. She also had two sons named Edward and Victor.
• Helena. Resided in the USA. Her first husband was an Englishman, a sailor. He has died. The second husband was an Irish, a photographer. She had no children.
• Stanislaw. Lived in the USA. He changed his name to Lacey. Her wife is Rusja, a relative of Joseph Litwin. The only son – Stanislaw.
• Ludwika Krepel. Resided in Poland.
• Maria Nowicka. Her husband’s name was Stanislaw; he died in the Russian concentration camp in Ostashkov. Two daughters Sophia and Maria live in England. The son Zbignew resided in Kenya.

Kizimira was born circa 1877 died 1948. Born presumably in Polish Russia as now Lithuania / Belarus may have been referred to. She is buried in South Portland Maine USA Kizimira was an aunt to my grand ma . Am looking for any information about her or possible connections. This board is the closest I came to the spelling. My great-grandfather is the Peter Litwin who married Rose Rusin and had 8 children: Helen, Sophie, Alice, Mary, Loretta, Joseph, Roman and Henry. Sophie is my grandmother, and is now the only surviving child.

I believe my GGrandmother, Emily Litwin, b29Sept1886 in Poland is one of Adam Litwin's older children out of a total of 9. My grandmother/Emily's dau is Myrtle Edith (Schunke) Otey. Would love to learn more and will be happy to provide what info I have.

Ok,I now know that this info was incorrect.I got info from the adoption agency and found out that I was the product of a possible 1 night stand.My bmom would be in her late 50's if she's still alive.I have no clue as to who my bdad is and/or whose last name is Litwin.My mom was 15 when she had me and there are 7 half brothers who don't know they have an older sister(would have been 8,but one died at 2 months of age from pneumonia).My mom if she's out there had a heart condition from having Rheumatic Fever as a child and she had St.Vitus's Dance(aka Huntington's Chorea).She has 3 sisters and 2 brothers(one sister might be her twin,they are the same age).I know she married an abusive person and am not sure if she didn't divorce him.It's urgent that I find her and my brothers.I have several health issues that need answers.I also know that my maternal grandparents weren't the most loving parents a child could want and both have since died.My maternal grandmother died of an epileptic seizure and my maternal grandfather died of cancer.I really need to connect with them even if they don't want to know me or have any contact with them.

They had a s.Paul b.Apr. 28, 06 and a d.Anne Dec 17.08 born in Poland and s. August born in White Star SK. Is Nokomis anywhere near White Star and P. A.? Any possibility of a connection?
