Hello Jane, my name is Daniel N. Livsey I was wondering about history and the like and found this site. I live in Oklahoma, my grandfather Vincent Livsey is from a family of 14 from Havastraw (not sure on spelling) New York. I think I am related to Thomas Livsey somehow just heard his name from granddad at some point. I have 6 siblings so plenty of Livseys down here in Oklahoma.

Benjamin Livsey I am from Stillwater, oklahoma. My grandpa Vince Livsey is from Havastraw New york not sure if I spelled the town name correctly. I know he was one of 14 kids and he had brother name Richard but I dont know all of his brothers an sisters name. He married a Mary chapman, she died when my dad was young. He was the youngest of 7 I do know my family migrated from England from grandpa telling me so. I am currently a soldier in the US army.

My grandfather's MOTHER's name was Viola Howland. I'm not sure what his father's name was. My grandfather was married to a woman named Marion.

My name's Ashley, I'm 20 years old. I guess I don't have much of a family, and I don't know anything, really, about my Livsey family history.

I do know this.

My grandfather's name was Donald Livsey. He lived in Florida and died sometime around 2004. I never really knew him. I know that he used to live up here with us, in Massachusetts, in the Northern Berkshire County area. He was married to a woman named Viola Howland, whom I never met.

For Children they had (oldest to youngest) Thomas, Nancy, Cheryl, Bryan, and Sandra. Bryan was my father. He passed away in September of 2006. He was married once, to my mother, Donna Myal (maiden). They had two children, myself and my younger sister Katherine.

Thomas has two sons, Thomas Jr. and Mark.

Nancy also has children, but I'm unsure of their names.

Cheryl has one son, Steve.

Sandra has no children.

When I was younger, I do recall my dad telling us something about living in Kansas. I also strongly remember him being very very VERY proud of his english/dutch heritage.

I have no idea whether or not my grandpa, Donald Livsey, had siblings.

If anyone has any additional information, please let me know. Thank you so much.

I have visited this cemetery myself about 6 years ago This is the site where Green H. Livsey is burried along with his wife Barbara Ann Poss and Barbara's father Henry Thomas Poss Sr. It is basically just a very small family burial area, which is in severe deterioration at this point. The cemetery is near Bay Creek and is nearly impossible to locate unless you have been taken there by someone who has ever been there before - it is located way into a wooded area with no real markings, roads or trails to get to it. It was an open field on top of a hill at the time when the family was using it. But, since that time, an entire forest has grown-up around it. Please contact me if you need to know how to get there.

I have in my database a William Livsey born December 2, 1853, and died October 29, 1906. He was the son of Charles H. Livsey and Rebecca Amanda Bryan, all of Wilkes and Gwinnett Counties in Georgia. Please let me know if you think there is a connection. I don't have any info on who he married or his children.

Green H. Livsey (approx. 1774) was my 4great grandfather and was the ancestor of most of the Livseys in Georgia. I wanted to let you know that there is already a Livsey Reunion Association which has been meeting continuously since 1952 in Clarkston, Georgia (near Lithonia as you probably know!). Most of the attendees are descendants of Charles H. Livsey (one of the sons of Green H). However, it is open to all Livseys who are descended from Green H. Livsey. It is normally held in June every year. I have not gotten a letter yet which indicates the date for this year. But, feel free to contact me directly and I can share more information with you (jhannah@nthdegree.com).

On the Ellis Island Passenger lists I find Wm. Livsey, 36 an engineer, his wife Mary, 33, and children Donald, 5 and Christine, 2 coming from Glasgow on the Caledonia, arriving NY May 24, 1908. They came from Dumbarton, Scotland. Their nearest relative in Scotland was Wm. Livsey at 11 Bank Terr., Jamestown, and they were moving to Palmer Falls, NY.

The same family appears in the 1920 Federal Census living in Schenectady, NY

what is the full site address for gwinnett county plantations.
My grandfather name was Thomas Livsey and I think his father name was Thomas also, both were out of Gwinnett County.
my grandfatather died in Bartow county in 1930 an he was born in or about 1887. My grandfather had brother who's name was Olden Livsey.
If any one has any info please let me know.
