Hi

I saw your correction to the Loader family in 1851 where the parents are unnamed. You added Harriet as spouse to William and I don't think this is correct. I think it is a 2nd marriage for William and that his 1st wife was called Harriet. I have the childrens baptisms up to Henry in 1843 to substantiate this.

Please get in touch so that we can exchange info.

Brgds Tracy

Hi Ruth, or can anyone help. My Dad is Peter Loader now nearly 74 living in Wellington. We're trying to put family tree in place. His mum was Edna May Loader and father Percy George Loader - third cousins we think. Both from christchurch before moving to wellington. Ednas family are williams, born by 'bow bells' london. the surname 'cole' and 'pope' fit in somewhere. Little else know. Can anyone tell me which branch of family they are and where to start and can anyone help please? thanks so much - Colleen

Hi, Just doing some research and I came upon your post.
My Father is Kenneth Walter Loader, and his Dad was Walter Loader and Walters Dad was Frederick Loader. My dad is now 88 years old. I remember him talking about his Uncle Hecter..
And, Aunt Becca. I think Becca is either my Great Aunt or Great Great Aunt. There were a lot of kids born to Frederick. I do know that my family came from Nelson England and my Grandfather married to Ellen Ann Jackson. They came to the US in 1920-1921 and ended up living in New Bedford. My Grandfather served with the Canadian Expedition Forces, as did a couple other relatives. Names I remember: Aunt Clara, Uncle Alfred, Aunt Louise, Aunt Becca...However, i do have information about many more.. Most of the Loaders were settled in Central Mass, in the Worcester Area. I think there were only a couple that settled in New Bedford.

Patience Loader - Aston Rowant (But not Patience Loader Archer Rozra)

Looking for help on this one

Patience daughter of James Loader is shown on p1 of the 1841 census as being 13 and having a father aged 40. On P3 of the census the same name crops up again, with a father aged 40 called James. Both also have an Aliza aged 8.

I suspect that Patience (p3) is not the same person that went to the USA and she married William Wallington in 1856....

This being the case who are her parents / grandparents etc and how (if at all) does she link to her more famous namesake ?

Hello. I know your e mail wasn't directed specifically to me, but I thought I'd reply as "my" Loader/Loder gang is also from the Dorset area. The earliest reference I have is for Thomas Loader and Hannah Brickle, married 25 FEb 1711/12 in Wiltshire, next to John Loader married to Mary Pope in Dorset 3 Feb 1747/48, then to Jonathan Loader and Mary Trim married 12 Oct 1771 in Horton, Dorset, next to Elizabeth Loader who had three boys, last name Loader - no father listed that I have ever found. Her boys were Moses, Aaron and George - mine is Moses, born c 14 Dec 1800 who married Jemima Clench on 31 Jan 1823 in Horton, Dorset - their son Joseph married Fanny Holly (I don't have this date), their daughter Mary Ann married Edmund Chapple - these are my great great grandparents. Married 29 October 1872 in Horton Dorset. So - if you can make any sense of this Loader/Loder line, drop me a line if they sound familiar.

Hi Simon

Since I posted that request, I have found Vivien however, I guess you could still ask your parents if they might know something of those days

My father, Robert (known as Bob) Adams was a Canadian soldier overseas and he knew Vivien Cockran (nee Spiller),
Joyce Frusher and Phyllis Loader and how they all used to go over to the "Warwick" in the evenings

Unfortunately, when I got a hold of Vivien she said she did not remember my father (or chose not to remember him) however, I found that rather strange being he almost didn't return to Canada because he wanted to marry her - pretty hard to forget someone you were serious enough about to want to marry, no? Perhaps she is not wanting to remember her past, whose to say

It's more for nastalgia than anything, as my father has since passed away, but I was hoping to find someone from overseas that could recount 6 years of his life that his family lost

Cheers - Judy

Hello Judy

My name is Simon Frusher-I'm the son of Eli (John) Frusher. For clarity Eli senior was my grandfather-who started the butchers in 1939. So Eli who you refer to used John (his 2nd name) rather than Eli

Joyce passed away last year but my parents John and Rita are still doing well and living in Suffolk.

They arn't very web savvy-but I'm trying.

I'm seeing them in 3 or so weeks-so will take my computer with me to logon-plus I'll mention this when I call them next.

I hope we can help

Kind regards

Simon

I am looking for anyone that would have information pertaining to a Charles Loader that married a Joyce Frusher. Joyce had a brother Eli Frusher, that owned a butcher shop in East Barnet Road until at least 1982

The Loaders/Frushers were friends with a Vivien (last name unknown) that married a Reginald (??) and they owned/operated the Grantley Arms in Wonersh for quite some time (1960's and 70's)

Vivien and Reginald had a daughter, Diana

Any information pertaining to these people would be greatly appreciated as I think they have direct information pertaining to one of my family lines

Cheers
Judy - BC Canada
I am a descendant of Elizabeth Anna Maria (Marie) Mason, nee Loader, daughter of Anna Maria Loader nee Berrett (Berritt)and Elias Loader. She married George Mason in Waipukurau NZ in 1882. The Mason family left NZ shortly after the death of their twin sons in Woodville in 1888 and lived in Victoria then Western Australia. Elizabeth Anna Marie Mason died in Western Australia in 1958. She is my GGrandmother. I have recently been in touch with Doreen Paton while visiting NZ and am one of the "Perth Western Australia" relatives. I am interested in any information, especially, Loader/Mason. Happy to pass on any info I have re the above families.

Lorraine

Wow! it looks as if Eliza was married before Charles? Have you managed to find a death for Thomas at all?

How interesting!

Are you aware of the amazing link of descendants of Eliza's parents, all over the world. This is being co-ordinated by Drusilla Smith in Utah.

I don't know how much you know about the family (how are you descended from Eliza?) but my sister-in-law, Kay Pickett (a direct descendant) has all our family records. She can be contacted at Kcpickett@hotmail.com - she has lots of information she could pass on to you. This is a wonderful family line to research as there is so much history and archive material already discovered.
Keep up the contact,

Terry

Dear All

I have picked up some old threads on ancestry.co.uk regarding James Loader and Amy Britnell.

My husband Steve is descended from Eliza Loader who I believe is a daughter of James and Amy. Eliza married Charles Heritage in Westminster in 1861. They had two sons, Frank Loader Heritage (1862-1957) and Thomas Loader Heritage. Charles was from Chacombe in Northamptonshire, as were most of his family.

Frank married twice, first Louisa Mary Acocks (four children) then Amy Seaton. Frank and Amy had four children including John Edward (1917 – 1980), my father-in-law. The children were registered in their mother’s maiden name, Seaton, but raised as Loader. Frank and Amy actually married (in secret) in 1931, weeks after the death of Louisa! John Loader had no idea his parents weren’t married until he was in his forties. This family were all born and raised in Lewisham, then in Kent but now in South East London.

John had two children, Kay Loader and Stephen Loader. Steve and I have two children, Abigail Loader (1985) and Daniel Loader (1987).

From the information on the Message Boards it appears that James and Amy had many children, most of whose descendants are scattered all over the world. My husband says his father used to tell the family that one of his ancestors “went across America in a covered wagon with the Mormons”.

I would be happy to send you any information about this line, such as I have been able to gather. I would be interested to know if any of you have a website that shares all the information we have all gathered. What an interesting line!

Terry (Theresa) Loader
Bromley, Kent, UK

My email is terryloader@ntlworld.com

Further to my original post I have found a Charles Turl Loader in the England & Wales Birth Index, 1Q 1894, Stepney, London, Middlesex, and a 1901 Census entry for the family of John Loader (b 1849, Limehouse, Stepney, London) and wife Eliza (b 1859) which includes Charles, aged 7 and Florence, aged 19. John's occupation is shown as a ship rigger, and their address at the time was 12 Lance St, Stepney. This looks likely to be the correct family. Perhaps this additional information will help find a descendant.

Thank you, Suzyroots, for you reply. It would seem very likely that he was connected to that family. From information I have been provided with from New Zealand, Charles Turl Loader left a will which was probated in 1919. His nearest relative was named as a sister, Mrs Florence Ward of Chatham in Kent. There is no marriage record for him in New Zealand and it is possible that he had no family there at all. Hopefully someone with a direct connection will come to light eventually.

I am looking for relatives of Charles Turl Loader who died in the first world war on 28 October 1918 and is buried in France. He was a gunner in the New Zealand Field Artillery. I have some signed photos of him and a book he inscribed and would love to see them safely in the hands of a family member who would treasure them. I am not related to him. The book was given to my Aunt's in-laws in London, England. If anyone has a direct connection please let me know.
