Hi Jane

I think Florence May was the daughter of Edward Waller born 1850 and Margaret Reed known as Mary. They lived in Aldgate at the turn of the century. If You have a look at the Trove website you are likely to find their wedding notice in the paper.

Mary and Edward were my great grandparents - my father also had Edward Waller as his name. I am trying to find the line from before 1820.

I am from Canada, searching for my LOADS family tree and lost family members. I am searching for my GG-grandmother Elizabeth Ann Loads and her 3 daughters: Rose Elizabeth Smith; Mary Eleanor Smith and Lillian Fanny Smith.
From England, Elizabeth Ann Loads came to Canada with David Smith in 1885 and claimed their homestead in the Province of Manitoba. Together they had 5 children consisting of 3 girls listed above and 2 boys: David Thomas Smith(my G-grandfather) and Henry James Smith.
In the 1891 Canadian Census for the Province of Manitoba the family is found together for the first and last time as a family. In the Census all are listed except for Henry James Smith, he was born in 1893, according to Manitoba Vital Statistics. In the Census household there is a George Loads included however it is unclear how he is related to the family. George may be a younger brother to Elizabeth Ann loads or George may be a stepson to David Smith.
In 1894 David Smith Died. Before His death David asked his Brother, Henry William Smith, to raise his 2 sons in Canada, this was done. Elizabeth Ann Loads than returned to England with her 3 very young daughters and it is not known what happened to her or her 3 daughters and it is also not clear what happened to George Loads.
The following info. comes from the 1891 Census Microfilm:

The following info. from Manitoba Vital Statistics,births:
-Rose Elizabeth Smith, Born:March,02,1886
-Mary Eleanor Smith, Born:Oct.,16,1887
...no vital stat. given for Lillian Fanny Smith however the 1891 census states she was 2months old and the census was taken in May of 1891 so Lillian Fanny would have been born in March,1891.
note:It is from Man. vital Stat. that I learned Elizabeth Ann Loads maiden name. The 1891 census gives her age36, so she would have been born in England about 1855.
further, the 1881 British Census (LDS website)provides David and Henry William Smith's info., however the info. for Elizabeth Ann Loads is unclear. The census dose however provide some possible info. for George Loads...age5,born:1876,scholar-grandson to household head Ann Loads-age56-born:1825-widow-census place:Blakeney,Norfolk,england.
I have been stuck with the above info. for a couple years and just not sure of my Loads/Loades family line. Recently I tried a search at the 1901 British census useing the 3 girls names and entered "Manitoba Canada" for their birth place.I was shown: Rosa Smith-age15 and Fanny Smith-age10, both living at Blakeney,Norfolk...their ages and names are close to the info. provided in the 1891 Canadian census info. Is there a connection to the 1881 British census? It would be fair to assume that a widowed mother with 3 daughter's would want to return to where there is family support. My guess is that my Loads line is from Blakeney, Norfolk, England. Can someone help to prove or disprove this? Find me at Allen_lepage@hotmail.com with any info. you have to share. Have a william loads who signed as witness on marriage certificate in 1848 for Thomas page and Eliza Loads, Eliza Father is Listed as Basil Loads, other witness is Martha Loads, marriage was in Rougham, Norfolk
Please let me know if You think this could be the same william

Received your query re William Loades, but don't believe I can help. Our Loades connection goes back to Henry Loades born 1797 at Whissonsett, Norfolk. We do not have a William in our direct line. Also, our branch of the Loades moved from Norfolk to Southampton, Hants.
