Every so often I like to post my LOCK family info in case there are new listers who could be looking for this family.

LARS CARLSON LOCK, b. 1604, Sweden m. (1) Catherine and had 3 children: Elizabeth, Andrew (my line) and Mons. It seems Catherine ran off with a trader and left the children with Lars. Lars married (2) Beata Lom, b. abt 1646 (..yes, she was 42 years younger!!!!!) in Jan 1662 and they had 5 children. I am the 8th great grand niece of Beata
Lom LOCK and the 8th great granddaughter of Lars CARLSON LOCK. Lars died Sep 1688 in Wilmington, New Castle County, Delaware. The story goes that Lars could not find a minister to marry him and Beata, so being a "man of the cloth" himself, he married Beata and himself, which was against all principals of their religion plus the laws of Sweden. But they were "married".......Their 5 children were: Catherine (m. John Jones), Peter (m. Maria Strang abt 1704 in Gloucester County, NJ), John (m. Catherine Hoffman abt 1705), Gustaf (m. Magdelena Hoffman in Gloucester County, NJ), and Beata.

My line from Andrew LOCK ended up in Salem and Gloucester Counties, NJ. Andrew married Christina Fiske abt 1694 and had 6 children: Maria (m. Garrett Vanaman), Israel
(m. Rebecca Helm), Lars (m. Maria Slubey), Helena (my line) (m. Peter Justice 4 Dec 1719 at Raccoon, Gloucester County, NJ), Anders, Beata.
