This is a four year old post, so I hope you are still reading the board! I am descended, on paper at least, from the Lockney line (Frederick, Martha (Frederick Leforest's brother), John Raines... I am very interested in Frederick Leforest Lockney's wife, Susan McClanahan. More specifically, I am interested in Susan's parents (and family). Do you have any more information on this McClanahan line, please?

Frederick Lockney b. 1793 VA d. 4 July 1860 Liberty Twp, Saline county, MO. 1st wife was Martha Black b. 30 May 1796 in Va, d. 1825 Fluvanna co VA . They m. 1815, had 5 children-John, Mary Jane, Frederick Leforest, Martha Luster, and James Henry. Frederick Leforest Lockney (jr?) b. 1820 VA m. Susan McClanahan b. 1815 KY d. 1876 and they had two children a son Edward b. cir 1852 and a dtr Susan M. Lockney b. 27 March 1856 in Saline co MO. She died April 1946. She married first to John Parker Higgins, son of Josepy Copsey Higgins and Mary Washington Parker of my husbands Parker line. Widow Susan M. Lockney Higgins then m. 2ndly to James Higgins Parker my husbands great grandfather b. 1836 in Hampshire co VA. He came to MO in 1843 with his parents and his maternal grandfather, James Higgins.
Frederick L. Lockeny (sr?) m. 2ndly to Lucy Thomas b. June 1826 and had two dtrs-Lucy Ann and Margaret; Frederick m. his 3td wife Letitia Dickerson in 1845 in Saline Co, MO. Letitia -b. 1811 NC, d. 1869 had two ch.-Rachel Jane and Samuel Benjamin.

Martha Lee Lockney

Looking for the ancestors of Martha Lee Lockney, B-12-5-1823 Bath County Virginia, she married 2-16-1842 Saline County Mo. to Charles H. Rains B-6-7-1818 Chatham Co. NC, she died 8-8-1894 Pettis Co. Mo.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
