That is so intersting to know. I am Pascual Luera Jr. & I live in Dallas, TX. I have trace family thru Mexico & to Spain. I was told that my family has always carried this last named spelled this way "Luera". NOw there was a gentleman that psted on here a few years ago from SPain tht says the "Luera" name is correct spelling & it came from a northern town in Spain that was named "Luera" but after the France & Spain war, it was changed, how true that is, I don't know but I really would like to trace back as far as I can.
