Update on the FamilyTreeDNA surname project.

We have several people who have offered to assist in paying for tests of others with the aforementioned surname variations. This in conjunction with the limited time offer gift certificates donated by the company as described below, which will drastically reduce the cost of taking the tests.

The gift certificates are not good for the 12 marker test, but are for the 25 and 37. I think the 25 is the best one to get initially anyway.

Anyone interested please contact me. We could probably get a 12 marker test done for about 1/2 the listed price or the 25 marker test done for just under $100.00.

There are only two gift certificates available for the Male Y-DNA test and they gave us 1 for a mtDNA test.

Now is definetely the time to join the project. FamilyTreeDNA has put a $75 gift certificate in the form of 3 Gift Certificates - 2 for Y-DNA and 1 for
mtDNA - that will be valid according to the following terms:

a) Not valid in conjunction with any other promotion or offer
b) Each $30 gift certificate is to be used with one test kit - either a
Y-DNA25 or a Y-DNA37
c) Each $15 gift certificate is to be used with one mtDNA test kit.
d) Kits must be ordered and paid for by December 31st, 2005
e) Not valid for test upgrades, add-ons or Y-DNA12.
