i am searching for any information about jean louis loiselle, who came to the province of louisiana in the late 1700's from paris, france, and he was married in louisiana to catherine toupard, who was the widow of pierre borel, and after marriage he purchased some land from joseph borel, who was a son of catherine toupard borel, and that was where jean louis loiselle and catherine made their home and presently that area along highway 182 between the two towns of jeanerette, louisiana and new iberia, louisiana bears the name of loisel and there used to be a sugar factory that was named loisel, which remants can still be seen today.
