Surnames: Lomas Lees Brickell
I have James LOMAS b abt 1799 Wildboarclough who probably first married Mary LEES (1818 Gawsworth) and then Hannah a widow (Brickell by earlier marriage) at Prestbury 1833.

His parents probably moved to Wildboarclough with the opening of the textile mills in the area, in the last decade of the 18th century. But where they came from, what their names were, I have not yet discovered. It's likely they came from the north Staffordshire moors.

My main interest is in Lomases of the Chapel-en-le-Frith area up to the end of 19th century but this crowd are related in various ways to those to the southwest...
