Loretta C. Wuenschel Loney Beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend
Loretta C. Wuenschel Loney, 76,
formerly of Stafford Ave., died Saturday, August 9, 2008 at her residence with her family. She was born in Erie on February 8, 1932,
daughter of the late Carl and Amelia Fetzner Wuenschel. She received her bachelors degree from Villa Maria College in Social work in 1954, her Masters degree from Catholic University of America in 1956 and worked at Catholic Social Services for over 30 years.
She was a member of the Kappa Gamma Pi Sorority.
She was a leader in the Penn Lakes Girls Scouts.
She was also a member of Sacred Heart Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard Loney, who died on March 11, 2008;
and a son, Daniel Patrick Loney.
She is survived by her beloved children, Mary Rita Samick and her husband, Christopher, of Erie,
Patricia Delavern and her husband, Jeff, of Girard,
Thomas Loney and his wife, Jodi, of St. Petersburg, Fla., James Loney and Michael Loney and his wife, Deborah, all of Erie.
Ten grandchildren, Daniel and Jacob Loney,
Brianne Dempsey and her husband, Christopher, Nicholas Samick, Ashley Loney,
Dana and Paige Delavern, Megan, Daniele and Michael Loney. Friends
may call at the Francis V. Kloecker Funeral Home, Inc., 2502 Sassafras St. on Tuesday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., and are invited to attend a prayer service there on Wednesday at 8:45 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass at Sacred Heart Church at 9:15 a.m. Send condolences to www.kloeckerfuneralhome.com .
