Are you referring to the Daniel Long from Antrim, Ireland who emigrated to Pennsylvania in about 1763-64, stayed there about two years, then went to Laurens County, S.C., where he died a couple years later (say 1767-68)? He had three children, Samuel, who died in 1776 at age 19, Mary Long, who married John Owens, and Robert Long, who was a Revolutionary War Veteran, a Justice of the Peace, an Elder in the Duncan's Creek Presbyterian Church in Laurens County, and had a son, Daniel Long, who became a physician and moved to Perry County, Alabama. After Daniel Long, Sr., died, his widow, Susanna Murdough Long, married a widower, Joseph Adair, Sr. The family lived along Duncan's Creek in Laurens County, South Carolina and several are buried in the Duncan's Creek Cemetery, which has a listing on line of all those buried there.
