Hi, there! We have corresponded before and exchanged information. I don't know if I have anything new but I am descended from Caleb through his son, Elijah to Amos to John Amon to Thomas Edward to Marion Francis to me, Charles Edward Lewman. My sons are John Charles and Gabriel Ray Lewman. Let me know if there is anything you need. How is your information on the Loomans of West Virginia and Missouri? I have some but need to fill in a lot of holes to gain a continuity to the present. Thanks, Chuck

I am trying to find the family group they are from.

Charles: Rebecca Looman, m. William Brotherton Reed 10 Mar 1810 in Butler Co., OH. William B. Reed was b. ca1776 and d. 1816 in Butler Co. Rebecca was Adm of his Estate. She hired Att. Platt Vorhis to assist and later m. him 5 Mar 1818.
William Luman of Butler Co. d. and William Reed was appointed Adm. Before probate of Luman estate was completed William Reed d. (My William Reed in Fayette Co., OH d. 1829). Heirs of William Luman hired Platt Vorhis and he pursued claim against Wm Reed's estate. Wm. Luman's heirs were brothers and sisters: Jessy Luman, Sarah Norris, w/o George; Moses Luman, Hannah Falady, w/o Henry & Polly, w/o Joel Peterson. Moses & Hannah were from Licking Co., OH. Jesse and Sarah were from Franklin Co., OH. The claim was finally settled and release given on 15 Oct 1832 in paymnent of $140.
My purpose in pursuing the matter is based on the fact that my grandmother, Lily May Reed's brother was Edward Looman Reed.
There are many clues to relationship between the Butler Co Reeds and the Fayette Co. Reeds but I have not found the tie. Joe

As far as I know the Butler co Ohio Reeds and Fayette co Reeds could be distant cousins. I have been trying to be sure that George LOOMAn was the father of Rebecca and looks like I found what I wanted to find. Does anyone know who the parents of Mary Thornton Berkley are? Is her maiden name THORNTOn or Was she married before George LOOMAn?
