Parents: #2572. Leister Loomis, b. Ct., Oct. 2, 1791; m. May 2, 1816, Emily Filley, d. Dec. 28, 1862. He was Rep. Gen. Assem. 1828 and 1832. Judge of Probate 1848-9. He d. July 2, 1859. Barkhamstead, CT. 5 children, b. CT.
This line runs back to Joseph Loomis and Mary White through their 5th child and 2nd son Deacon John Loomis.

Chauncey also M.D. Missionary 1859-61. Had infant son who died Afrika. "Africa". Buried at Newbury, VT.
There is also a notation of East Hartland Cemetery, may be one and the same in Newbury.
Chauncey died in 1894.
Appears to have moved to Huoron, Ohio in 1838. Notes or references to First Congregational church in notes, but does not mention of which town or city.
Harriet Ruggles was born on December 29, 1824.
