Maxine, How exciting to hear from you. Louis Lorber was my grandfather and he and his wife Ellen (Ella) raised Uncle John and we always considered him our mother's brother. My mother, Gertrude Lorber Farley was born 1 Dec. 1899 and died 27 Jan. 1968. I met Uncle John only once when he came to Ella's funeral in January 1945. I have photos and can send you some family group sheets. In return I would like to have recent input about his family and a copy of the letter and certificates. Erin came to see us one time on his way to Washington, DC. What a nice young man. I live in Rapid City, SD and two of my sisters live in Aberdeen. Our sister Jean died Dec. 2003.
