I dont think that they are direclty related to my line, but I'd love to know where they came from and how they got to Iowa.
My great-grandfather (Emil Lorber) immigrated to the US in the late 1800s and I think he might be listed in the 1900 census as being 22, single, living in Indianapolis and working as a bartender. I know that he ultimately ended up in New York/New Jersey where the rest of my Lorber relatives currently live. I think he had brothers here too.
