Classification: Query
Surnames: US Lorren and British Lorren
In 1966 an Englishman named Lorren sued the Bank of Montreal and its parent the Bank of England on behalf of a relative (Lorren) who worked between Chicago and Montreal as late as 1866. The Lorren in question left in 1866 to settle his affairs in England and was never heard from again. The substance of the suit was that rental property left in trust with the Bank of Montreal was not subject to siezure by the government. A story was published in the US around late 1966 or early 1967 in a national magazine, thought to be the former LOOK magazine.
The question is the given name of each party in the suit, especially the Chicago/Montreal party.
