"MYSTERY" John Lott and Mary Watts/Lott, Lawrence Co., MS

Surnames: Lott, Garner, Clifton, Watts
I'm hoping someone out there will see this and realize where this man fits in with the Lawrence Co., MS Lott family. The children of this Lott family moved into Winn Parish, LA I'm guessing after 1860 around the Crews and Montgomery area of Winn Parish, LA.
I'm trying to find John Lott (among the MANY John Lotts of MS) who married Mary Watts!!!
John Lott was born in Mobile, AL between 1825 - 1835, and presumed to have died there or on the way home from the Civil War. I'm GUESSING he married Mary in Lawrence Co., MS since most of his children were born there including my great,great Grandmother Alice Artis Lott who married Stephen William Garner in Lawrence Co., MS on 12 Apr 1877.
According to Alice's death cert it listed her father as JOHN Lott and mother as MARY Watts. The informant was her daughter Mollie. All right, now, ... Mollie would have definately known who her grandparents were seeing as Mollie took care of her mother for years due to Alice's failing health.
On the other hand...researchers say that Alice's parents were George Washington Lott and Mary Watts. I don't think so, BUT I have no proof. Only a death cert.
SO...I do see an "AAA. Lott, female, same age as Alice" in a census with this G.W. Lott and Mary Watts.....BUT then again, he COULD have been her "Step-father" after John died.
I'm sure this George Washington Lott was related somehow to John Lott.
According to the family, John Lott had a brother "Bob Lott" and a brother "Solomon Lott". Not sure if that's true or not!
In Winn Parish, LA in the Mt. Zion Cemetery it inhabits a gravestone that says "Joshua Lott..The first Lott to be buried here". Who is this Joshua Lott of Winn Parish, LA?
How is he related to my John Lott and his daughter Alice?
At any rate, according to the family John and Mary died when Alice was a child. According to the family, she was raised on an Indian reservation and played in the Pearl River as a child.
Her daughter, Beulah Garner/Clifton was my great grandmother. If my grandmother Thelma Clifton was still living she would know all about the Lott and Garner families but she died when I was a child.
If anyone at all has ANY info on this family especially John Lott and Mary Watts, PLEASE reply!
