LOVEGROVE – DeLeon Lovegrove, 81, of 727 Ruie Rd., North Tonawanda, died Wednesday (July 13, 1960)in his home after a long illness. Born in Goderich, Ont., Mr. Lovegrove had resided in North Tonawanda for 40 years. He was employed at the Tonawanda News more than 30 years before retiring 12 years ago. He was a member of Third Presbyterian Church of North Tonawanda and was a veteran of World War I. He served in Europe with the Princess Pat Regiment of the Canadian Army. His wife, the late Sarah (nee Dann) Lovegrove died in January 1947. Surviving are two sons, Orval and Earl Lovegrove; two daughters, Mrs. Hazel Milliman and Mrs. Edward Deirdorf; a brother, Orren Lovegrove, all of the Tonawandas; a sister, Mrs. Jessie Grom of Kenmore; 12 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren. Friends may call at the residence, where services will be at 1 a.m. Saturday. The Rev. Richard A. Bodey will officiate. Burial in Elmlawn Cemetery.
