I am searching for a Martha "Patsy" Lovell who was born in Henry County, VA in 1815. She was either widowed earlier or the common law wife of Richard Balenger (actual spelling, Ballinger) in 1850. In the 1850 census, they have her and her children listed as living with the above Balenger but all have the last name Lovell. Richard and Martha get married in 1857 and from then on the children are listed as Ballingers. Please contact me if you run across this group. I would like to know who were Martha's parents and if she had a previous marriage. Thanks!
