My ancestor Willis Lowe B 1814 D 1891 M. Zilphia Ann Lee. His father was James Lowe and his mother was Polly Vaughn. James is buried in Wetumpka AL. Came to AL from NC. He stopped in GA for a period of time before coming to AL. He married Polly Vaughn (no record of place) Polly had one brother Aaron Vaughn and one sister who married Alonza McCoy. No other records at present of heow many brothers and sisters of James Lowe. We think that James could possibly be the son of either of the sons of John Lowe who in 1769 married Nancy Butler, the daughter of James Butler, who was the son of William Butler, the immigrant, from England.
