Looking for any information about Thomas Hamilton Lowhorn. My great grandfather was Thomas Hamilton, and his death records say his father was Thomas Hamilton Lowhorn, and mother was Phena Brison(unknown if spelling correct)all from Clinton, Ky I have not been able to track these Lowhorns to Clinton. The name Lowhorn is interexchanged with Lawhorn quite frequently, too. My great grandfather married a Smith from Bewellyville, Leona Belle(called Lona or Belle). They had 3 children, Amelia(Melia), Burton and Milford. Amelia was born in Lilliedale, Pickett County, Tn. Variously, on different census rolls he says he is from Tn. and Ky., and that his parents were from Va. and Tn(father/mother respectively)or NC/NC. Since the very early census records did not list family members it is very difficult to trace people, and I have not had much luck in NC or the Clinton, Tn. area. They moved to the Cookeville area, which is where my Father, Edward Hamilton Carr was born. He had a sister, Arretta Lona Carr, and brother, Clarence Porter Carr. Arretta was called "Joan", and most of the family moved to the Dayton, Oh area sometime after 1930. Does anyone have any information on this line of Lowhorn's, especially before 1930?
