I'm looking for the family of Cornelius Locey (Lucey, Lucy and sometimes Locy) and his wife Margaret Hurley, both born in Ireland who came to America sometime before 1860. They lived briefly in the Baldwinsville area of Onondaga County, New York . Sons Cornelius and John went on to Michigan (Cornelius to Kalamazoo and John to Mendon, Michigan). Margaret was a widow according to the 1860 Kalamazoo census, living with son Cornelius. She died in 1867, at the age of 70, in Kalamazoo from a fall. On her death certificate, issued in Michigan, her parents were Patrick and Mary Hurley, both born Ireland. This branch of the Lucey family is said to have come from the Macroom, Cork area of Munster in Ireland. I would love to hear from anyone with information on this family and would be happy to share.
