Hello,
My name is Cindy Morgan. I was Cindy O'Neill when I worked with Jerry for 4 years at Agnews State Hospital. I first met him at San Jose State College in 1969-70 when we were in the same clinical group in our baccalaureate nursing program. As a matter of fact, he got me my first nursing job at Agnews during a time when it was difficult to find nursing jobx. I subsequently moved to Colorado for a year; Utah for 25 years; and have beeh in Texas for 10. I have thought of Jerry on and off for the last 2 years as I have been doing genealogy. At one point during the time I worked with him we discussed genealogy and he thought we might be related. My grandmother is a Kelleher Who immigrated to New York in 1902 from Co. Waterford. I tried on and off to try to find Jerry with no success and now that I have found him I see I am too late. I am sorry for your loss. He was a good man. . . Cindy

I have no idea where any of the above where born. Does anyone have any suggestions? I have requested CHARLES SS# application and have run into complications. CHARLES was in Ks. in 1910 and died in 1955 in Terre Haute IN. THANKS

Hi

I'm not sure if this will make any connections for you but my great, great grandparents were both from cork- Daniel Lucy and he married Honora (Norah) Cecilia O'mahoney. My great grandmother emigrated to Australia but she had a brother Dennis Lucy who emmigrated to America. The australian branch was sponsored by Honora's sister Ellen - i'm assuming the same may have happened with Dennis. I also believe their youngest brother William may have gone to the US.
Thought there may be a connection between the families since I'm aware of that in other branches of the family.

Annmarie.

I am trying to find information on my grandmother's family. Her maiden name was Alice Elizabeth Lucey and she was born January 5, 1898 or 1899 in Boston, or a Boston suburb, Mass. Her father's name was James Lucey and I believe he was in the liquor business. Her mother was called Delia. She had numerous brothers and sisters I believe. She told me that her father remarried when her mother died. Step mother was Eleanor. She was Catholic. Thank you. Oh by the way, my grandmother married George E. Reed from Pittsburgh Pa. They were both in vaudeville.

I am searching the Lucey side of my family and have reached a road block. Hope someone can help. My Great grandfather, Patrick Lucey married to Bridget Mahoney born about 1830 in County Cork Ireland (maybe). They had three children (that I know of) Cornelius, James F and Hannah. James and Hannah were born in Portland Maine. I do not know when they came to the US but had to be prior to 1870. Would appreciate any info or assistance in trying to locate where and when they came to the US. Thanks.... and Hello to any relatives out there.
WWII Veteran Roy K Lucey

I am searching for a veteran of WWII, Roy Lucey, who served in the 561st Field Artillery Battalion. He would have been born between 1906 and 1925. I've checked the World War II Memorial Registry, and gathered all the data I can from the Social Security Death Index and the 1930 Census. Unfortunately, both the SSDI and 1930 Census do not give me anything on military service for WWII.

I am posting messages to hopefully get some info directly from veterans or their family. I will be pursuing getting data from the Army Records Center in St. Louis. Maybe the combination of sources will work for me.

The 561st FA Bn has an informal association, and an annual reunion; thus this work to find WWII veterans of the unit.
My gg gandfather was Daniel b 1818, brothers Timothy b 1819, Michael b 1825, Patrick b 1825 and 1 sister Catherine. Iam unsure where in Ireland we came from. Other common names are Harrington, Burke/Bourke, Glavin. Does any of this sound familar?

Brian Loucy

HI, Sorry it's been so long...sounds promising. I'll be talking with my elder sister shortly and give her your info....She has a wonderful memory, better than mine. I do know that Hannah is buried in Holy Cross Cemetary, W.Roxbury, Ma. She and husband William had a small home in Billerica for many years. William died about 20 years before Hannah. She passed in the 1960's at age 93 or 94. They had no children. I think her brother who passed before she at the age of 97, had 1 daughter, Katherine, who passed at a young age. 20 something I think...I'll keep in touch...Barbara
