I have George William Monroe Lugenbeel, born 1860 died 1940 married to Millie F. Huntley b, 1867 d, 1934. Georges father was, William Zacariah Lugenbeel b,1828 d,1914. Mother was,Eliabeth Margaret Elgin,b.1838 d,1917. their children were, Ethel May,1888-1904

Hazel Gladis, 1890-1987
Octo Inez, 1896
Homer Humbolt, 1898-1968
Glen Elgin, 1900-1973
Eunice Belle, 1903-1903
Stella Mae, 1920
I have other members of family, Grandparents back to 1502 if you are interested.

Lugenbuehl and variations in Maryland later changed spelling to Lugenbeel. See my Lugenbeel tree on ancestry.com.

I'm looking for any information I can find on the ancestors and/or descendents of:

Lucas-Oloffson Luginbuehl
AND
Elisabeth Luginbuehl

Of Switzerland - most likely somewhere around Krattigen as this is where their children were born.

Their children were:

b. 23 Dec 1858 Krattigen, Bern, Switzerland
(married Christian Zurschmiede on 28 July 1890 in Aeschi, Switzerland)
d. 20 Jun 1943 in Unterseen, Bern, Switzerland

Jakob Luginbuehl
b. 02 Aug 1855 Krattigen, Bern, Switzerland

Karolina Luginbuehl
b. 07 May 1862 Krattigen, Bern, Switzerland
d. 06 May 1863 Krattigen, Bern, Switzerland

Maria Luginbuehl
b. 12 Jun 1864

(I'm a descendent of Anna Luginbuehl).

The ONLY information I've been able to find is what I've listed above. I found this on the Mormon database. But I cannot find anything further such as the parents of either Lucas-Oloffson Luginbuehl or his wife Elisabeth (last name is listed as Luginbuehl so I'm not sure if that's her maiden name or her married name).

I've tried variations of Luginbuehl but haven't had any hits. So other variations to try would be welcome.

Also - does anyone know of a Swiss census database such as the UK, Canada, and the U.S. has?

George Lugenbeel was the son of my g.g.aunt. So, I guess that means we'd be like distant cousins to so degree.
I only know that Elizabeth and another sister married and moved out to Republic Co., KS, I think.
The other sister and her husband never had any children. Their last name was Ford.

My paternal grandfather was George W Lugenbeel but my grandmother's name was Evelyn. (don't know if grandfather was married prior to Evelyn) Family was originally from Frederick, Maryland.
