John F. Lukacs
Delmont

John F. Lukacs Jr., 63, of Delmont, died Thursday, Dec. 1, 2005.

He was born Aug. 4, 1942, in Greensburg, a son of the late John and Anna (Chicka) Lukacs.

John was a retired teacher at Springdale High School, where he coached baseball.

He was a member of Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church in Murrysville.

He was a U.S. Air Force veteran, a life member and former commander of the White Valley AMVETS Post 85 and was a member of the White Valley Athletic and Social Club.

Surviving are his loving children, John and Maura Lukacs, both of Export; his former wife, Anita J. (Drnjevich) Lukacs, of Export; a twin brother, Regis J. Lukacs and his wife, Mary, of Export; three sisters, Patricia Huggins, of Murrysville, Diane Berkoben, of White Oak, and Judith Christoff and her husband, Richard, of Orlando, Fla. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the WOLFE-VON GEIS FUNERAL HOME INC., 5701 Lincoln Ave., Export, 724-327-1400. A Mass will celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday with Msgr. Richard Curci as celebrant. Interment will follow with military honors in Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont.
