MRS. STEPHEN ANDRE RITES WEDNESDAY

Services will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday at the Kubina-Yuhasz Funeral Homes and at 9:30 a.m. in St. Dominic Church for Mrs. Julia B. Andre, 83, of the Assumption Nursing Home, formerly of 33 N. Truesdale Ave., who died of infirmities at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the nursing home.
Mrs. Andre was born Dec. 19, 1899, in Erpataki, Szabolcs, Hungary, a daughter of Michael and Helen Kocela Lucas, coming to the United States in 1907 and to Youngstown from Smithdale, Pa., in 1920. She was a past president of the East Side Garden Club and was a member of the church, the Garden Forum, Catholic Daughters of America and Daughters of the Eucharist.
She was also a former member of Immaculate Conception Church and a sacristan there for many years.
Her husband, Stephen M., whom she married June 11, 1918, died July 19, 1953.
She leaves a son, Robert S., of Youngstown; four sisters, Mrs. Mary Pazics of Monessen, Pa., Mrs. Virginia Shychuk of Erie, Pa., Mrs. Ann Stepaniak of Smithdale and Mrs. Elizabeth Scurle of Dravosburg, Pa.; and two grandchildren.
A brother, Michael Lucas, and a sister, Mrs. Helen Curtis, are deceased.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
