I am looking for any information on Matthew Lumb and/or his wife Sarah Helliwell both of Sowerby in what is now West Yorkshire and according to the 1841 census both born around 1811 (good for a range of 5 years each way!)
In the 1841 census they are shown as having two sons Thomas and Ely,with a further three sons and a daughter later(other censuses)Simeon,John,Joshua and E.A.?(possibly Elizabeth Ada).
Matthew was originally a hand weaver but eventually moved to Halifax as a power loom operator.
