Lost valuable data on my Lumb ancestors a few years back - I'm now trying to recreate it (damned PCs!). Lumbs reading this may be interested to know that in the late 1800s, a British census showed about 6,000 Lumbs in Britain, 4,000 of them in Yorkshire. Suspect there must be many Lumbs out there who are cousins x times removed etc! The data I have goes back only as far as grandparents which is frustrating considering antecedents on the maternal side go back much further. Can anyone help!?
