Hello Sue,
One of my Ancestors was named John Lunnun, born in Tredington, Warwickshire on March 24, 1867 and died in Newbold, Worcestershire on April 5, 1943.
In the earlier records the surname Lunnon was often entered as Lunnun, due to the original writing of the census when a loose O became a U or when a closed U became an O.
You may already be aware of this but I have only just seen your original message back in 2005.

I don't know if I could be of any help, but I am married into the Lunnon family. Most of this Lunnon family history comes from SC. I have not heard of any relatives in Texas from this side, but see if you have relatives in SC and get back to me.

My grandmother was Rosanna Lunnon, father believed to be John/Jack, she was born in 1901 in West Midlands area. Born in 3rd quarter so missed the 1901 census,

I would love to meet other Lunnon's. In Houston, Tx there is only my family and my grandfather from whom I got the last name is already dead, so I'm unable to ask him any questions.
