Lydia Luraschi died in Woodland Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2003, at age 90.
Born Sept. 7, 1913, a native of Woodland, Miss Luraschi was a lifelong resident of Woodland. She graduated from Woodland High School, and Beauty College. She was a hairdresser for over 50 years. She was an active member of the Woodland Healthcare Auxiliary at Woodland Memorial Hospital, knitted caps for the newborns. She was also a member of the Italian Catholic Federation, and was a bridge player.
Survivors include her nieces and nephews, Nancy Morrow (George) of Sacramento, Lynda Steinke (Ron) of Salemn, Ore., Bill Bascherini (Carol) of Fair Oaks, Tom Musgrove (Sherrie) of Granite Bay; eight great-nieces and nephews; and seven great-great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Argia Landucci Luraschi and Luigi Luraschi, natives of Italy; and sisters, Alice Luraschi Bascherini and Nora Luraschi Musgrove.
The family requests memorials be directed to Holy Rosary Church, Woodland.
Services: Celebration of Life gathering and luncheon will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 19, at Holy Rosary Parish Hall, 315 Walnut St., Woodland.
