Hello. I am trying to find out more about my husband's grandmother, Mrs. Annie (McLOUGHLIN) GAVIN, who died in MA/US in 1949. She reportedly was born in London, England, in ~1890, and spent some time in a Convent as a child. Then, ~1908 Annie migrated to the US and found her way to Waltham, MA, US, where she married James GAVIN. They lived in Cambridge, MA, where they raised their children.

This week I have received new information from different sources. Putting the info together, I come up with possible parents for Annie as: John James McLOUGHLIN, b~1856 in Scotland, and Jessie WAGNER, b~1856 in England or Ireland. They seem to have had 6 daughters, but 2 seem to have died young. Annie was the youngest, and she seem to have been born the same year that her father died (1890). The 4 McLOUGHLIN daughters went to the "Convent of the Sacret Heart" in London for a few years.

In 1899, the widow, Mrs. Jessie McLOUGHLIN remarried in London to Samuel LUSCOMBE, b~1866 somewhere. The 1901 census has them in London with Jessie's 4 daughters.

There is slightly more information on this extended family. But that is all I'll say for the moment.

I would be interested to find out when Samuel and Jessie LUSCOMBE died. I would like to know whether Jessie was still alive when her daughter, Annie, left for the U.S. ~1908. And, I would like to know whether Jessie possibly had a 3rd marriage, possibly losing 2 husbands.
