Good afternoon,
I am putting the brackets around the s in Martha's last name because of some virus programs that would block my post. Her name honestly is Lu(s)t as far as we know. I have very, very little on this couple and am open to any suggestions that anyone can come up with on where to look next.
Here goes:
My dh's ancestor is William Wade Patterson b. I am guessing between 1822 and 1850 based on his son's birth year. Great grandpa was ever so helpful on the 1920 census records and put down that William Wade, his father, was born in the US. Thanks grandpa. I have no idea when or where he died either.
William's bride Martha Lu(s)t as the family pronounces it, I'm open to alernative spellings, was supposedly born in MS according to the 1920 census record for their son William Lee Patterson. This is all I know aboout William Wade and Martha.
The one child I know of was William Lee Patterson, according to his death certificate he was born March 7, 1865 in Texas, died Nov 11, 1922 in Stigler, Haskell Co., OK. He was married to Martha Ann Tucker, d/o William Henry Tucker, Sr. and Milly Ann Haseltine Smith (if you know anything at all about Milly Ann I'd be absolutely delighted to hear it). Martha was born to these parents on November 30, 1884 in Hatfield, Polk Co., AR and died December 26, 1956 in Edmond, Oklahoma Co., OK. She and William Lee married on September 03, 1898 in Hatfield, Polk Co., AR. They had 10 children.
I have no census records, death records or marriage records for William Wade Patterson or his wife Martha Lu(s)t. If anyone can help me in my 20 year research of this couple I'd greatly appreciate it.
